This is a bill that is introduced every session. It is no secret that the majority of Montanans support the death penalty for those who commit the worst of crimes.

This bill is a repeat from the last number of sessions. This continues to be introduced and defeated - regardless of which party is in control. There are many other important issues that need to be dealt with.

This a Montana version of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child - a treaty that our US Senate has avoided for years, and rightfully so. Not good....

This bill is a great bill for parents AND taxpayers. Seems odd that anyone would oppose a bill that will allow the public to see what their schools are using to teach from.

Same comments as SJ2 - This is another attempt to push for an UNTESTED Constitution Art V COS (Even though the title of bill does not mention it )

Once again the focus is on instruction that has nothing to do with the 3 Rs. With all of the parental frustrations with the school boards and the administration, this bill amps up the debate by attempting to undermine local control by changing state law.

Bill #: SB333 - Create offense of trespass by unmanned aerial vehicle (Likely DEAD)

Basically this bill violates the Supremacy Clause of the US Constitution (Art VI, Clause 2). SB333 is designed to dictate altitude limits for drones across the state, in complete conflict with the FAA's authority as established by Congress decades ago. Certain federal acts take priority over state laws as per Art VI. The FAA is the sole authority in establishing flight paths/altitudes for manned and unmanned aircraft....period.

Bill #: SB370 - Generally revise uniform commercial code (Likely DEAD)

Following Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) push by Joe Biden Executive Order 14067 on March 9, 2022, SB370, this MASSIVE 131 page piece of legislation, that revises the Uniform Commercial Code, and is likely setting the stage in Montana for the ultimate adoption of a federal digital currency. A nasty direction for our country to take!

This late bill changes the way the US Senate elections will be held. A bad change for sure.

Throughout the 230-year history of the U.S. Constitution, an Article V convention has never been called by Congress. And the Constitution provides no guidance for the conduct of a Convention. In Montana this issue was addressed in 2007 with HJ38, where the House (78-22) & the Senate (43-7) voted to rescind all calls for an Art V Convention. Already Congress and the courts have shown total disregard for the 1st and 2nd Amendments. Opening up the Constitution could easily result in a massive battle to re-write this sacred document in total. There is too much at stake. This bill needs to fail.
